A talk by NMS Research Associate Clive Slater

Join Clive as he describes his search to see the seven magnificent bird species named in Gurneys honour by fellow 19th century ornithologists.

This search will take you to southern Africa to find Gurney’s Sugarbird, Orange Ground Thrush and Black-Necked Grebe. Then to the Philippines to see the Giant Scops Owl, the Molucca Islands for Gurney’s Eagle and the Solomon Islands for the Pacific Baza and lastly the story of the near extinct Gurney’s Pitta.

Talk only – £3.00 (£1.95 Norfolk Museums Pass holder)

Places for talks must be booked in advance – tel (01493) 743930
